Being Funny with HaveTales-WillTellI'm constantly sad about not finding sufficient amounts of humorous works here. It occurred to me that, you know, maybe I should spread the word on how to be funny!
Since I've got nothing, I turned to someone who is pretty amusing around these parts. The thumbnails featured throughout this article were provided by `HaveTales-WillTell (or are from his gallery), so you don't have to take my word for it. :P
What do you find funny?
Above all else, I delight in cleverness. When reading, that often means puns and other forms of wordplay; with visual media, there can be the additional dimension of a character's actions mirroring or contrasting with their mannerisms, dialogue or accent.

Greetings all!

Almost all of us on deviantART want to know how we are doing. We also know that to get any element of an answer, we have to put a lot of work in ourselves. It all sounds very exhausting, doesn't it?
We would like to openly discuss solutions the community can enact from within. This isn't just "what can the CVs do", but what can YOU do too. We don't want to waste good effort on the wrong things and moreso, we want to try to encourage more of you to get involved as individuals.

This is a weekly feature of amazing literature that I come by during my
travels across deviantART. This is only a small sample of a vast amount
of wonderful pieces of literature written by absolutely fantastic
writers. Each deviation was carefully selected from a writer's gallery
based on structure, impact and word usage. I will never feature the
same person twice (though this gets harder to keep track of
now that we can change usernames), so check out these lovely writers now while you can!



Literary Compass - Vol. 9Welcome
If one is looking for Literature, you don't need to go far on deviantART. There is a large community of writers and a plethora of work to peruse. Featuring  genres such as fantasy, mystery, horror, and romance, one would be hard-pressed to find an area not covered. However, due to the nature of the site, shorter works tend to get more focus. It's easier to quickly read a poem or a short story, and thus many of the feature articles on dA showcase those works. However, there are many novelists and serial writers among the mix, oftentimes fighting an uphill battle to have their works seen and appreciated.
With that in mind, I have started an article to spotlight some of those artists and their literary-worlds. The works covered in this feature will exclusively be long-form fiction such as novels, trilogies, etc., or fiction serials.
Current Stop - Kherming
The next stop on our Literary journey is the fantasy world of Kherming created by Crist
League of Lit Groups: Vol. 5This article will be posted once a month and will revisit one past group spotlight from Love dA Lit and one literature group who is in need of admins to help with their various group activities.
Since I am bad at planning and replying, I will be changing how I present the groups who are looking for administrators. Unless I get a request to specifically promote a group's call for staff I will just use one of the newest ones from Love da Lit at the time of posting.

This is an auto-bio of how I became a mermaid and turned it into a job and how someone else can too!
SeparationIts 2:00 at the Slender house, and Slender is making Splendor his favorite snack, honey flavored pancakes, ladled in syrup.
"YAY! SYRUPY PANCAKES!" Splendor shouts, feeling giddy.
"Splendor, you have to grow out of your child palette some day. Might as well get the rest of you changed too."
"But Slendy, my favorite foods just taste too good to forget!" Splendor denies.
"If it wasn't for me, you wouldn't be able to take care of yourself with your childish behavior. You would get slaughtered in the real world without my care and guidance!" Slender teases.
"But without me, you don't have anything to do and can't live decently!" Splendor teases back.
"Care to place a bet? Whoever can't survive without each other first in a month will be shunned?" Slender bets.
"You're on! I can take care of myself easy without you!" Splendor gloats.
He heads out to the portal to the human territory with a backpack to hide his tentacles and in his illusion form.  Once in the city Splendor has a plan fo

Hellllllloooooooo everyone!  It's been like forever since we chatted last.  Aside for being angry at us for slacking the last couple months, how are you all?  Your pairings still holding up?  Are you still waiting for a pairing?  Do you need a new partner?  Are you ready to assassinate the staff because we're so behind? 
Don't answer that last one. :giggle:
We're WAY behind with getting pairings done, and it's because we're all running busy schedules.  So after a little pow-wow, we've come up with a new and improved way of getting your surveys into us.  We'll no longer be manually entering each survey into our database (which is VERY time consuming, by the way).  Instead, we're going to direct potential beta readers and writers to an outside survey (hosted through GoogleDocs, so it's completely safe and virus free, we promise! If you find it otherwise, `thorns will serve up `GrimFace242's skull on a spike for all to throw

Finally she goes to the doctors

They run multiple tests, repeating some for clear results

"We don't know"
She feels like a medical experiment. A human guinea pig  
Trapped in her own body, she feels like giving up.

People start rumors about her. They all wonder

She goes day to day getting worse not better.

Welcome to WhitewoodHello all~
So, I've come to a point in my life where God has taken my art program from me and wants me to write. So I'm obliging and doing it.
I feel like this is some sort of crazy alternate universe, because I never write as much as I have been lately. It's usually all in my mind and I just draw scenes form that.
Anyways, writing and costumes have been the game lately. I've got a lot of work ahead of me on my fashion Disney line, but my attention is still set on faeries (no, Tinkerbell is not on either list)
Luckily, writing has not been so... completely faerie absorbed. The lovelies that grace this journal layout are my subject of focus. Mainly that long haired gal with the teapot. Well, being that she's the one who we follow through the story, I figure it would be important to know some things about her, right? And besides, out of all of the characters, her psychology is, by far, the most interesting. Blah blah, any whoo- we met an entertainment producer at Gaslight Gathering this

September came with the #ArtHistoryProject hitting literature! There was a wonderful effort from the community, with a vast array of interesting and fresh articles produced. Of course not every article could cover each topic to its full extension, but what we created was a great collection, one which I hope continues to grow beyond September!

October is all about Halloween and spooky things with many activities popping up already. Even if you don't embrace this holiday, Autumn is truly upon most of us now.
